The Engineer's Team

In performing the duties of the office, the County Engineer is assisted by 175 engineering, maintenance and administrative personnel. Departments include Bridge and Highway Design, Traffic Engineering, Surveying, Construction, Highway Maintenance, Bridge and Utility Maintenance, Real Estate, Fiscal, and Human Resources.

We accept applications at anytime and those applications are kept on file for two years from the date of being received.

Applications on file are reviewed before an open position is advertised.

Funding Sources

The Engineer's Office and its various operations and construction projects are financed through revenues from the Ohio vehicle registration fee, county permissive motor vehicle license tax, and gasoline tax, as well as with state and federal funding.
